Detoxing - Self Care - Releasing

Other words for detoxing are cleansing, releasing, letting go, and transforming.
Detoxification implies following circadian rhythm of fasting, eating, resting, and moving.

Detoxification and rebuilding are consistently going on within our bodies. Catabolism or a breaking down of substances within us occurs alongside the continuous building of the body, or anabolism. Our natural detoxification occurs through fasting, eating, resting and movement and is part of our natural metabolic cycle circadian

Detoxification can have different meanings:
• process of removing toxic substances or qualities
• metabolic process by which toxins are transformed into less toxic or more easily eliminated substances within your cells, tissues and organs
• period of withdrawal after long-term use of an addictive substance such as processed food, sugar and seed oils.

Most of you are detoxing from processed food ingredients and pharmaceuticals. Similar to withdrawal from drugs, people experience withdrawal from processed food, added sugars, and seed oils!

Detoxification includes reducing or eliminating household and personal use chemicals. In our past and current environment, the public has ingested high levels of industrial chemicals in the process of eating processed foods, and using household and personal care products. Cosmetics are a big example. Stop the exposure.

The mind and body are one. Detoxification includes the letting go of toxic, painful, and repetitive thoughts and feelings. Healing from Chronic Fatigue falls into this category. Negative energy drains your energy and negatively affects the people around you.

Detoxification is both endogenous and exogenous. Endogenous means the detox is occurring within your body, generated by your body. Exogenous means you introduce a method from the outside to help you detox, such as colon hydrotherapy along with a liver gall bladder flush.

The plant-based diets are considered cleansing; the animal-based diets are considered building. Some individuals choose the raw food and juices, more fruits and vegetables, some nuts and seeds, and cold-pressed olive oil during their detox program or for a period of time, This plant-based approach is part of their cleansing or detox; it has that result.

An animal-base diet may also be used in detoxifcation. Meat stocks and bone broths can be a base of fluids. Home-made fermented milk products such as kefir may cause die off of pathogenic microorganisms.

The detox is composed of a number of elements and you want it to be fun and successful. Some do it with a friend, group or partner. When you undertake detoxing, the idea is to do so with an optimistic attitude.

Autophagy-Giving the Body a Break!

It’s not always about eating. Sometimes it’s about not eating.
What is this big word, autophagy?

Autophagy and fasting are other components of detoxification. I recently read Siim Land’s book Metabolic Autophagy. Autophagy is the time to repair, regenerate and recycle the remnants of internal bodily operations that are byproducts of daily operation. Fasting is part of autophagy. The Guide to Fasting by Jason Fung MD and Jimmy Moore is an excellent primer on fasting and can get you started.

The dietary advice to have 5-6 small meals a day (not)
The encouragement of eating ‘small meals’ like 5-6 feedings during waking hours has reduced the body’s ability to detoxify. One has to stop eating long enough to allow the eliminatory, recycling, and restoring cycles of detoxification to occur. We call this autophagy. The 5-6 daily feedings is a cover up for hypoglycemia and unhealthy fluctuating levels of insulin and glucose that processed foods create.

Autophagy is an evolutionary self-preservation mechanism through which the body can remove the dysfunctional cells and recycle parts of them toward cellular repair and cleaning, according to board-certified cardiologist, Dr. Luiza Petre. https://luizapetremd.com/ The purpose of autophagy is to remove debris and self-regulate back to optimal smooth function.
Autophagy is the body’s natural way of cleaning out damaged cells, in order to regenerate newer, healthier cells. “It is recycling and cleaning at the same time, just like hitting a reset button to your body. Plus, it promotes survival and adaptation as a response to various stressors and toxins accumulated in our cells,” she adds.

What triggers autophagy?

• intermittent fasting and ketogenic diets
• fasting is most effective way to trigger autophagy (Petre)
• low insulin and high glucagon level
• low glucose wakes up survival repairing mode
• exercise. According to one animal study physical exercise may induce autophagy in organs that are part of metabolic regulation, processes that can include muscle, liver, pancreas, and adipose tissue. Latest research indicates that exercise accelerates the number and health of the mitochondria within our cells. Mitochondria are the organelles that convert our food to energy and successful metabolic processes

Autophagy relates to circadian rhythm. We have natural rhythms in nature: light and dark, rest and movement, nutrition and fasting. Part of successful autophagy implies that one is following natural laws of fasting and resting and sunlight daily in accordance with circadian pattern. Detox allows us to live more in natural circadian cycles, removing interferences as we restore and rebuild ourselves. We become part of the cycles of nature.
Detox means that we have internal and natural methods of cleansing and rebuilding ourselves endogenously, within ourselves.

Detox means that we can enhance our detox through utilizing exogenous or external methods, such as colon hydrotherapy, herbs, supplements, castor oil packs, fasting, and movement. Fasting is our natural state. In following natural principles we move toward being more natural. We are not eating all the time!

Benefits of autophagy at cellular level

• removing toxic proteins from the cells that are attributed to neurodegenerative diseases, such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease
• recycling residual proteins
• providing energy and building blocks for cells that could still benefit from repair
• prompts regeneration and healthy cells

Intermittent Fasting

A major guideline is to create a window in which you do not eat, say from 7pm in the evening to 7am in the morning. That’s a 12-hour window. Some experts feel the goal is the 16-hour window. Needless to say, the idea is to give your gut and body a break so that it may repair and regenerate.

Why We Detoxify and Lifestyle Motivation

What Is Your Motivation to Detox, Cleanse, Release, and Let Go?

How far have you let yourself go? Self-care is foundational. The goal is to create internal peace and health in a generally unstable environment. Here I am referring to processed food addiction, 88% plus people with Metabolic Syndrome, and hostile conditions in cities and between nations.

Movement, peristalsis and core training are essential for mitochondrial health.

Maintaining a healthy and diversified microbiome is another essential factor and goal in detoxifying and restoring. Viral, fungal and bacterial species are included in the microbiome. The epithelial cell wall of our intestines is damaged in the majority of people caused by the microbial imbalance; more pathogens than good guys. This microbiome imbalance has many names: dysbiosis, leaky gut, Small Intestinal Bowel Overgrowth (SIBO), Small Intestinal Fungal Overgrowth (SIFO). The key is to heal and seal the gut wall and reseed the good microbes. Doing that allows the body to heal. By restoring and healing the gut, the person restores their peristalsis and gut motility.

This is all about a LIFESTYLE change, breaking old habits, and developing positive habits that are heart warming and body healing. It is a slow transition that occurs for the rest of your life. It’s nothing mystical. You don’t arrive somewhere and make an announcement. You build one step at a time making better choices, and building your new life.
